Regimental Sergeant-Major Bob Bennett

One of the original members of L Detachment, he joined the SAS after serving with the Brigade of Guards and No 8 Commando. He saw action with 1 SAS for most of the war, serving in North Africa, Italy, Northwest Europe and Norway. His awards include the British Empire Medal.

Colonel Charles Beckwith

US Special Forces veteran who saw action in Vietnam and with the SAS in Malaya in the early 1960s. 1977 he was tasked with raising the United States' own counter terrorist unit Delta Force. Their first batch of recruits underwent training at Hereford.

Intelligence officer of 2 SAS who after World War 2 headed the SAS War Crimes Investigation Team that looked into the murder of SAS personnel by German troops carrying out Hitler's infamous 'Commando Order' of 1942.

One of the original members of L Detachment who went on many SAS missions in North Africa, including the attack on Nofilia airfield.
